Slim and flexible they are and they are called phone – the folding phones are officially here. Xiaomi the Chinese mobile phone maker has just unveiled the first foldable phone. The model unveiled on twitter by their Xiaomi delegate shows him using a Foldable mobile phone that folds not just once but twice to make the phone more compact to use.

Wang Xiang tweeted a video on Wednesday of the company’s founder and president Bin Lin using the “world’s first ever double folding phone.”
Samsung has been in research and development mode for a long time and has unveiled a flexible folding phone, but this looks like the first double fold phone. We know Samsung and Sony are working on foldable phones as well, you can also expect more companies to get into this – including companies like oppo.
Just like 3d when it came into the market, this could be big – but whether it remains practicable and catches on only the demand and market can predict.
Samsung promised us a foldable phone — rumoured to be called the Galaxy X, Galaxy F, Galaxy Flex or Galaxy Fold — in the first half of 2019.

This startup is ready to sell its foldable phone for real. The device is called the Royole FlexPai, and it started shipping in December.
The Royole FlexPai, the world’s first foldable smartphone-tablet hybrid. In October 2018, the Chinese company beat Samsung to launching the world’s first flexible phone.
